FOUNDER ALPHA · WINDOWS
The first chapter.
Built for your game.
Founder Alpha is the first chapter of Signal Broker: the real app and the real Broker, while he is still being built. This page says exactly what that means.
What you get now
NOW
- The Windows app. A 64-bit Windows application that runs on your PC. The Broker watches the game you chose and speaks through your default audio output.
- One character, one voice. The Broker: a persistent character with a point of view, AI-generated speech in seven supported languages. His words and voice are generated by AI.
- Autonomous hosting. He observes, remembers what happened in the session, and speaks when it is worth it. Quiet periods can be normal; check session status if the Broker does not respond.
- Speech role. Choose SPECTATOR (he comments on what he sees) or PLAYER (he speaks as if sitting beside you) before or during a session.
- Game identification and game knowledge. The app identifies the game you chose, or asks you to name it with Search when it cannot, and loads what the Broker knows about that game before he starts. For a game he does not know yet, the app offers to build that knowledge; it takes a while to be ready.
- PAUSE and RESUME. PAUSE holds the Broker without ending the session: he stops looking and speaking until you press RESUME. A paused session spends no Signal Time.
- In-game overlay and Broker Bar. He appears over fullscreen or windowed games; the Bar shows time left and status, toggled with Ctrl + Shift + Alt + B. Position and size are yours in Settings.
- OBS Browser overlay. A transparent overlay with guided OBS setup for your stream or recording.
- Languages and controls. Independent App Language and Broker Language: English, Bosnian Latin, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. Adjust Talkativeness; onboarding, Help/About and diagnostics are included.
- Account and Signal Time. One balance across the website, the app and the Bar.
What it does not do yet
- No in-session game switching. To change game: STOP, choose the other game in the app, then START.
- He does not hear you. The app has no microphone input and no chat.
- AI commentary has limits. It can misunderstand a scene, repeat itself or speak at the wrong moment.
- Not every game can be watched. Some anti-cheat protected games refuse capture; some exclusive-fullscreen games limit the overlay. The app tells you when a game cannot be watched.
- No guaranteed cadence. How often he speaks depends on the game, the moment and the service. During a voice outage the app shows VOICE RECOVERING and keeps watching; if the voice cannot reconnect, the session ends and says so.
- Alpha software changes. Behaviour, wording and features change between builds. Items marked PLANNED are intentions, not promises.
How access works
- 01Create a free account.
Create account or sign in. Your account holds your Signal Time.
- 02Check and claim your trial.
Your account shows eligibility. Claim the trial if offered; creating an account does not grant time by itself.
- 03Download, sign in, play.
Read the unsigned-build notice on Download. Sign into the Windows app, use trial Signal Time, and subscribe later if you choose.
The service currently runs as a controlled pilot: only invited accounts are admitted, and the website says so when yours is not.
Trial, membership and Signal Time
- Free trial.30 Signal Minutes (exactly 1,800 Signal Seconds), claimed through your eligible account. No card, purchase or subscription required; the trial never silently converts to paid. Signal Time measures Broker usage, not gameplay duration.
- Founder Alpha membership.$19.95 a month, including 5 Signal Hours per paid billing period. Included hours do not roll over: what you do not use expires at the end of the paid period, and each renewal brings a fresh 5 Signal Hours. Additional Signal Time is $4.99 per Signal Hour and does not expire; cancelling renewal does not remove hours you bought. Monthly, cancel any time, access until the end of the paid period. Payments are processed by Stripe. GET FOUNDER ALPHA.
- Signal Time.Signal Time is metered from the Broker’s managed AI work — every look at your game and every spoken line — rather than simply the elapsed time of your gameplay session. Your account shows usage and remaining balance.
Read the Signal Time, cancellation and refund terms and review the versioned purchase terms shown at checkout.
